The founding committee is proud to announce that by order of the State of Maryland Public Employee Relations Board, the Wor-Wic Community College Faculty Association was granted a unit under Maryland State Educators Association for the purposes of collective bargaining over wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment. This includes all Full Time Faculty, as described in the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and as defined by the Maryland State Education Article, effective October 27, 2023.
Or in simple terms, the full-time faculty now have full union representation!

WWCCFA is the official exclusive bargaining representative for a single transparent collective bargaining agreement (contract) that will govern the wages, hours, and other terms and conditions of employment of all WWCC full time faculty, whether or not they choose to be WWCCFA members. Only WWCCFA members have the power to attend and participate in WWCCFA's meetings, approve WWCCFA's bylaws, and elect WWCCFA's officers. Only members have the power to assist with drafting, negotiating and ratifying the contract.
